Kursbeschreibung

Sicily is home to no less than seven UNESCO World Heritage sites. It is the sum of the history of Mediterranean civilisations, traditions, history, art, legends, mythology and of course its wine and food.

The Grand Tour of Sicily is a wonderful 2-week program of sightseeing and culture, perfect if you want to get to know as much of Sicily as possible in just 2 weeks! Our Grand Tour of Sicily is designed for lovers of the Italian language and culture who are interested in getting to know Sicily, not as tourists, but as travelers. It is for people who are curious and want to have an authentic experience.

Of the 7 UNESCO sites in Sicily, we will visit 5 UNESCO World Heritage sites (Catania, Syracuse, Noto, La Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina and Mount Etna), plus the beautiful town of Taormina.

All trips are guided by experts and professional tour guides and transportation is provided by private rent-a-bus company, providing all needed insurance. Cooking lessons and tastings will be held by experts in the field of enogastronomy, while cultural talks will be given by our teachers.

THIS PROGRAM HAS TO BE COMBINED WITH AN INTENSIVE COURSE.

We recommend to have a knowledge of Italian for A1 level minimum

Lage der Schule

Our school is only 350 meters away from the largest Central Park of Catania and its historical City Center. The school is located on the 2nd floor of a modern building and has been recently refurbished and is composed by a large Reception Area, 6 classrooms, a large floor terrace, a Director's Office, a Staff Office, and a Teachers Office.

GIGA – INTERNATIONAL HOUSE was founded in 1997. Nowadays Giga International House is a landmark in language training not only in Catania but throughout Sicily. The Courses, the Certifications and the Teacher Training Department are the three pillars on which Giga IH has built more than twenty years of activity marked by seriousness, continuous growth, and enthusiasm.
